This family is extra special to me because Amy and I have been best friends since our freshmen year of college. We have experienced so much life together and it’s amazing how our friendship continues to grow. I wish everyone could have as good of friend as I have in Amy. And she is about to have a baby girl in just about 3 more weeks!!!

This gorgeous couple happens to be some of my sister’s best friends and the great thing about sisters is that you get to be friends with their friends too. Over the years, I have come to really love Whitney and Jon and I was totally honored to be able to photograph the two of them. They are expecting a sweet baby girl in just a few weeks and she is destined to be best friend with my niece, Norah Mae. Baby Girl we can’t wait to meet you!

My beautiful sister, Brittany and her husband, Taylor are expecting their first baby in 13 days! Brittany is having a girl and our entire family is beyond excited. I am going to be an Aunt for the first time and I cannot wait! It feels like the night before Christmas every day waiting to hear if my sister is going into labor. I am seriously so giddy. Being a parent has be one of the greatest joys of my life and I can’t wait for my sister experience this same joy. This baby girl is going to be one beautiful and loved baby. Here are a few favorites of our maternity session with them. Each time I look at these I can’t get over how beautiful Brittany is pregnant, plus she totally has the “pregnant glow”.
We figured it was time to do an update on our family here on our photography blog. If you haven’t heard yet, we are expecting baby #2 to arrive in about 6 weeks from now! The baby’s due date is October 24th and we are getting so excited to meet our new addition and to find out what we are having. Meanwhile, we still have a couple more weddings on the calendar, we are beginning to meet with clients for next summer and we still have a ton of family shoots and some engagement shoots around the corner. However, with all the busyness of life, we took some time out to have our amazing brother-in-law, Trever Hoehne, take a few family photos. And as a treat, Hayley was able to get her makeup done by a friend and awesome make up artist, Molly Shriver. The Davis family are some of our best friends and they are expecting their second baby girl on October 24th which happens to be the exact same due date as our little baby! It has been so much fun to experience this new phase of life together, so it was a special treat for us to be able to capture the beauty of their family and Natalie’s sweet little baby bump. Plus, Natalie is so beautiful pregnant!

We have had a few clients book us for surprise Christmas gifts and this is exactly what the Brooks did. They are going to give these photos to their parents for Christmas. Don’t worry we already checked with them to get the okay for posting these pictures before Christmas. After spending an hour with them, we can’t even imagine how fun their family time is.
