With four boys you are bound to have fun and crazy photos and that is exactly what we got when we shot the Matson family. They are such a beautiful family full of life! Here are a few of our favorites from their shoot:

Well, we are keeping really busy shooting families for their upcoming Christmas cards, meeting with potential clients for upcoming weddings, and then a ton of editing. We have over a dozen shoots to catch up on our blog including a recent wedding. So, to start off the week here are a few photos of Angie and her adorable son, Nolan. The interaction between them is so sweet and we really enjoyed getting to spend time with them during their session.

We figured it was time to post some updated photos of our son, Hudson. This year for Halloween we decided we would do something fun. We dressed Hudson up as a lobster and we were chefs. We always have so much fun picking out a theme for our whole family and this years theme just made us laugh. We couldn’t help, but do a mini shoot with our little lobster on the beach.

Mike and Kristin just welcomed their first baby girl into their lives. Hallee Jane is just so precious, so tiny and so sweet…there really is nothing like a newborn. We had so much fun and couldn’t help but laugh at how cute Hallee was hanging from the tree in the bag her aunt handmade her. It was just the perfect setting to capture her sweetness.

Congratulations Mike and Kristin!
It is always an honor, when our work is featured on other sites. So, we were excited this morning when we found out the birthday party we recently shot was featured on Hostess with the Mostess. Virginia did such a great job planning every detail! You can check it out here.

Ryan and Alissa welcomed little Wesley in their lives at the end of August. We first did a shoot with them when Wesley was just 2 weeks old and then we got together again now that he is 8 weeks old for a few more photos. It is amazing to see how much he has changed in just a few short weeks. The first photo is one from our first session. He is quite the adorable little guy!

Sometimes a baby just needs a paci…

Hayley here-
Kinsey is the daughter of my favorite professor in college and it is weird to think that she was about 9 years old when I started taking her dad’s classes. And now she is graduating from high school this June! Kinsey is so sweet and so full of life and again, shooting a senior makes me feel old.

They live next door to a beautiful ranch where we shot some of these photos, so we just couldn’t resist getting at least a few photos with one of their amazing horses:

After eight years of waiting, praying and hoping, Bill and Rebecca are about just 5 short weeks away from welcoming their first baby into the world. They are so full of joy and so excited for this new adventure. The day we did their maternity shoot there was really heavy fog that created for such a romantic feel with these photos. Congratulations Bill and Rebecca!

Some of our good friends are moving back to Chicago in 2 weeks, so before they leave we wanted to take the time to take a few photos of their beautiful family. They were some of the first few friends we made after moving to San Clemente and it is amazing to look back at our lives and see all the change that has happened. Brian is a Marine and we couldn’t be prouder of all that he has accomplished in his career. We are looking forward to their visits back to California and hopefully their return as well! Here are a few of our favorites from our time together:

This next picture just makes us laugh… Brooklyn just hated getting her hands sandy. Let’s just say she is a lot like her mother:

Giaretta’s- Our lives have definitely been impacted by your family and we are so grateful for your friendship. We love you guys and we will miss you!
We have been doing a lot of shooting lately and a ton of editing, but not a whole lot of posting. So, here is a really long post to make up for it.
It is always fun to shoot birthday parties especially when there are more details than are at most weddings. Taylor’s mom, Virginia did an amazing job putting together her daughter’s 2nd birthday party. I love it when moms put together little details to make a party special instead of just buying a birthday kit from the store. You can always tell because each little detail is so unique. From the cake and dessert to the food and even the presentation of the food, not one detail was missed. If you are looking for someone to help throw you child’s next birthday you should think about contacting Virginia.

TacoDawg provided the food, but Virginia designed everything that was used to present the food. How cute is this french fry display?

Happy Birthday Taylor!
